A House of Pomegranates is Wilde's second fairy tale collection, following The Happy Prince and Other Tales. He said of the book that it was "intended neither for the British child nor the British public".

About the author

Wilde’s novel about Dorian Gray is a fable of vanity and influence, written with the same relish for sentences that marks his plays. The portrait changes so the man, for a while, does not. More of this shelf for Oscar Wilde.
